       First fully funded BlueGEN programme in conjunction 
                           with iPower 
 
          Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited (ASX/AIM: CFU) is 
           pleased to announce the commencement of the 
           first fully funded BlueGEN programme, where 
           the BlueGEN is installed at no cost to the 
           end user. The programme, comprising a 100kW 
          fleet of BlueGENs (a minimum of 65 units) is 
        targeted primarily at public sector organisations 
           that can take advantage of the significant 
         carbon and energy savings BlueGEN has to offer. 
        The innovative funding structure allows BlueGENs 
           to be installed in end user premises at no 
          upfront cost. End users pay for the costs of 
           gas and BlueGEN maintenance and receive the 
          benefits of the electricity generated and the 
                  heat recovered for hot water. 
           This programme has been developed and will 
         be run by one of CFCL's UK distributors, iPower 
                    Energy Limited (iPower). 
      iPower has also confirmed its interest in developing 
           a second, larger programme with CFCL in the 
      second half of calendar year 2015. These discussions 
       will include various new appraisals and opportunity 
           pipeline assessments which are expected to 
           take place in parallel with the delivery of 
                      this first programme. 
          The terms of the agreement signed with iPower 
           are conditional on drawdown from a facility 
          provided by a 3(rd) party funder. iPower will 
         make a deposit of GBP350,000 (A$636,000) which 
           is expected to be received by CFCL early in 
         December. In order to meet the criteria imposed 
           by the 3(rd) party funding provider, iPower 
          has secured formal confirmations of interest 
           from participating end users for a majority 
                      of the installations.

          to support the project and provide end users 
                   with attractive benefits."

CFU leads marketing of fuel cell products in Europe
500 units installed and over 5 million operating hours accumulated
Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited (ASX / AIM: CFU), a leading developer of generators that use fuel cell technology to convert natural gas into electricity and heat for homes and other buildings, is pleased to announce that it has achieved an important technical and commercial milestone. On 11 September its service partner, Eneco, commissioned a BlueGEN unit in the Netherlands, representing the 500(th) unit in the installed and commissioned fleet of systems based on the Company's world leading SOFC technology. Earlier this month, the fleet passed the milestone of 5 million accumulated operating hours with demonstrated high levels of reliability and availability.
The unit is one of the 45 BlueGEN systems that were sold into the first stage of a virtual power plant (VPP) project on the island of Ameland, in the Netherlands. This is currently one of the largest VPP projects in Europe utilising micro-generation products based on fuel cell technology, and involves a number of project partners, including the leading Dutch gas company, GasTerra.
In the context of the developing global markets for products based on CFU's technology platform, the achievement of an installed fleet of 500 systems and 5 million accumulated operating hours is significant for the Company for the following reasons:
-- According to available industry information this makes CFU the first fuel cell company outside Japan to achieve this number of mCHP installations and accumulated operating hours.
-- In the Company's initial core markets in Europe, CFU is leading the commercialisation of fuel cell based mCHP in terms of number of systems installed and accumulated operating hours.
-- The experience gained from the growing fleet of commercially operating systems installed at customersites has:
  •  provided an acceleration of product / technology improvements (e.g. the recently announced degradation reduction) and a clear strategy for CFU's cost reduction programmes;
  • allowed CFU to identify and address challenges of the route to market; and led to improved brand recognition of Ceramic Fuels Cells and BlueGEN.

Having marketed and sold in excess of 600 units, and deployed 500 units into many different product market combinations, the Company has gained extensive experience and insights about how to adjust its marketing and sales strategy in the emerging markets for distributed micro-generation.

CFU sells 1,000 BlueGEN units to Baltic distributor
Agreement signed for 1,000 BlueGEN units valued in excess of EUR20M, to be delivered in CY2014 and CY2015
Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited (AIM/ASX: CFU), a world leader in developing and manufacturing fuel-cell-based micro power plants, is pleased to announce it has signed a cooperation agreement with Synergy International OÜ (SI). Under this agreement, initially a minimum of 1,000 BlueGEN m-CHP units, with a value in excess of EUR20 million, will be sold to SI over the next two calendar years. The agreement has the option to be extended for a third year.
CFU has appointed SI as its exclusive distribution partner for the Baltic States and Scandinavia (Finland, Sweden and Norway). A main business partner and shareholder of SI is the Tameo Grupp, one of the biggest wholesalers of electrical materials in Estonia.
SI will be responsible for arranging the distribution and servicing of CFU's BlueGEN product across its distribution region. Under the agreement SI will purchase from CFU, on a take-or-pay basis, 500 BlueGEN units in CY2014 and a further minimum 500 units in CY2015. The first 100 systems are scheduled to be delivered in the first quarter of CY2014. In addition to the distribution agreement being on a take-or-pay basis, under the agreement 50 percent of the price of the initial 500 unit sale will be paid to CFU before the end of this calendar year. Further payments will be received quarterly in advance for units to be delivered during the CY2014. This payment profile is repeated in CY2015 for the 500 units to be ordered on a take-or-pay basis.

Taxation Refund
CFU advises that it has recently received a refund of circa $4M from the Australian Taxation Office for research and development activities relating to FY2013. The expectation of this refund was announced on 30 October 2013 in the Company's Quarterly Cashflow announcement.

600 BlueGEN systems to be installed across Alliander's German grids by 2015
Heinsberg, 13 March 2013. Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited ("CFCL") (AIM / ASX: CFU), a leading developer of generators which use fuel cell technology to convert natural gas into electricity and heat for homes and other buildings, today signed a letter of intent for a strategic partnership with Alliander AG, a distribution grid operator. As a first step, up to 600 BlueGEN systems are to be installed across Alliander's regional grids in Germany by 2015. Alliander will make an important contribution to advancing decentralised energy provision and to introducing this innovative fuel cell technology to the German market.
Alliander was an early adopter of the BlueGEN product and will initially focus on the Heinsberg region (in North-Rhine Westphalia) before moving to the national level in a second phase of deployment. To achieve this objective, Alliander plans to top up national and regional subsidy schemes to make the installation of BlueGEN systems financially more attractive to clients connected to Alliander's grids. This novel, value-added offering creates a link between clients and their grid operator.

"After three years of positive experience, we will now move to the next level and actively support the deployment of this innovative and environmentally friendly technology across our grids."

As a result, their deployment improves the stability of decentralised grids. North Rhine-Westphalia pays 45% - 65% of fundable purchase price
Heinsberg, 11 March 2013. Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited ("CFCL") (AIM / ASX: CFU), a leading developer of generators which use fuel cell technology to convert natural gas into electricity and heat for homes and other buildings, has been informed that the state of North Rhine-Westfalia (NRW) has started to implement its recently announced mCHP subsidy policy. Government authorities in Arnsberg/NRW have last week approved the first application for financial assistance. Depending on the size of the business applicant, the regional government of Germany's most populous state is set to promote the BlueGEN technology by subsidising each generator with between 45% and 65% of its fundable purchase price. The applicant, a local bakery, was granted an amount of 13,000 Euros for the purchase of one BlueGEN unit, which equals 65% of the fundable investment costs.
Bob Kennett, CEO of Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited, says: "The state of North Rhine-Westphalia has long been a strong supporter of our technology. We are delighted that this support has now been converted into a clear and substantial financial subsidy. The approved funding level is extremely important in supporting the ongoing marketing and distribution of BlueGEN; we expect this programme to drive a significant increase in demand for our product over the coming months and years. And lastly but most importantly, our first subsidised customer in NRW, will be able to halve his running electricity costs."
Following this first approval, BlueGEN generators are now officially part of the 250 million Euro CHP incentive programme 'progress.nrw', which is designed to accelerate the market breakthrough of highly efficient CHP systems. The CHP act aims to increase the proportion of electricity generated by CHP plants to 25 percent of the state's total production by 2020. A study mandated by the NRW Ministry for Climate Protection and carried out by three renowned German research institutes, the Bremen Energy Institute, the ISI and the IREES, calculated a total CHP potential in NRW of 75 terawatt hours per year. By 2020, NRW's government wantssmall and medium-sized enterprises to contribute a large part of the CHP potential.
CFCL's fuel cell technology perfectly meets the objectives of the state's government, as BlueGEN units are specifically designed for decentralized, on-site use in small and medium-sized enterprises. Providing up to 13,000 kWh a year, BlueGEN can cut running electricity costs by up to 50%. Due to high and rising electricity prices in Germany, one in four companies is considering generating electricity themselves, the latest survey of the German Chamber of Commerce says. With this new subsidy, BlueGEN units have become an attractive investment proposition for more than 600,000 small and medium-sized enterprises in NRW.

The partners will distribute highly efficient BlueGEN-CHPs in Belgium together.

Since the compensation is tied to the produced power volume, CFCLs BlueGEN units with their globally unique electrical efficiency of up to 60 per cent perfectly suit this promising segment.
The Belgian market is known for its high environmental awareness and its great interest in innovative solutions for clean energy production. Solar Spirit specifically develops new models and product combinations which enable customers to independently generate power. Last year, CFCL and Solar Spirit installed the first BlueGEN units with customers and also received positive feedback from prospective customers. Fully funded BlueGen installations for UK social landlords
Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited (AIM / ASX: CFU) a leading developer of generators which use fuel cell technology to convert natural gas into electricity and heat for homes and other buildings, is pleased to announce the signing of a distribution agreement with Energy Services Company (ESCo) iPower Energy Limited (iPower).
CFCL has granted iPower a limited exclusivity on the basis of minimum deliveries of 200 BlueGen units during 2013 and a further 200 BlueGen units during 2014. The exclusivity is limited to the use of BlueGen to provide ESCo services within the social housing sector in the UK.
Tackling fuel poverty
Social enterprise iPower is a UK developer of low carbon projects working with a range of technologies to reduce both energy bills and carbon emissions. iPower is able to offer guaranteed discounts on electricity tariffs to social housing tenants where BlueGen is installed. Installations are offered on a turnkey basis and can be fully funded by iPower who will also supply power and heat to tenants in place of existing suppliers. iPower's aim is to makeclean energy affordable to all and return maximum benefits to property owners and tenants. A majority of its profits are used to help combat fuel poverty and climate change.
Social housing
Following on from recent announcements about installations with housing associations supported by National GridAffordable Warmth Solutions, the agreement with iPower reflects an increased emphasis for CFCL on the deployment of BlueGen in the social housing market, a sector where the cost savings associated with BlueGen's high electrical efficiency can have most effect, particularly in apartment blocks where the electrical output from one BlueGen can be shared between up to four apartments.
CFCL looks forward to continuing to work closely with iPower. iPower will use installation, sales and service partners approved by CFCL in the deployment of BlueGen systems across the UK:
   --      Be Green Systems for London and the South East; 
   --      Ace Energy for the South Coast and South West; 
   --      Green Buy Energy for Yorkshire and the North Midlands; 
   --      Richard Irvin for Scotland; and 
   --      World Heat and Power for the North West and North Wales.

BlueGen units use ceramic fuel cells to turn natural gas into electricity - as well as heat for hot water - for homes, schools, offices and small commercial buildings. Each BlueGen unit can save up to four tonnes of carbon per year in low carbon homes in the UK when running of natural gas and around twice this amount when using directed biogas purchased over the mains gas grid. The peak electrical efficiency of BlueGen is up to 60 percent, far higher than any other small scale generating technology in the world. With the added benefit of heat, total efficiency is up to 85 percent.

The virtual power plant was officially opened yesterday by Mr Peter Altmaier, Germany's Federal Minister for the Environment, Mr Johannes Remmel, Minister for the Environment in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, together with Mr Bernd Wilmert, Chairman of the Board of the municipal utility network Trianel, and Sven Becker, CEO of Trianel.
A virtual power plant is a cluster of distributed electricity generation units, controlled and operated by a central entity using integrated software systems. A virtual power plant allows power generation to be modulated up or down to meet peak loads and balance intermittent power from wind or solar, with higher efficiency and more flexibility than large centralised power stations. Producing energy where it is needed eases the burden on electricity distribution networks and prevents distribution losses, which can amount to as much as 10 percent from large power plants using conventional generation methods.
The Trianel network will offer BlueGen units to end customers as part of its EnergieBlock(R) micro combined heat and power offering.
During the opening ceremony at the Eurogress congress centre in Aachen, Mr Altmaier declared that distributed electricity generation and energy efficiencyhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png, along with a coordinated expansion of renewable energies and electricity grids on a national level, are central elements of the electricity market of tomorrow: "Virtual power plant networks are progressive milestones on the way to a successful energy reform," Altmaier said.
The virtual power plant connects 25 BlueGen units, which convert natural gas into electricity and heat with the world's highest electrical efficiency.
Ceramic Fuel Cells and its local distributor sanevo blue energy, based outside Frankfurt, have delivered the 25 BlueGen units to Trianel. So far 15 municipal utilities in Germany as well as the Energie Kompetenz Zentrum Rhein-Erft-Kreis GmbH are involved in the project. The municipal utilities are installing the BlueGen units in their customer centres and with selected customers. There are also plans to roll out the BlueGen units to end customers in apartment buildings and commercial properties.
Mr Remmel, North Rhine-Westphalia's Minister for the Environment, has praised the municipal utilities' commitment to working on innovative solutions for developing efficient and environmentally friendly energy generation. "North Rhine-Westphalia is the state for energies of the future and needs more utilities of the future for an accelerated energy transition. Combined heat and power [CHP] should play an important role in our federal state. Therefore, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia is planning a support programme for CHP of 250 million Euros. Our goal is to increase the CHP share of electricity generation to more than 25 percent," Remmel said in his speech at the event.
Trianel is the leading municipal utility network in Germany and Europe, with more than 50 local utilities as members and serving more than 5 million customers in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland.
Trianel began the mini and micro CHP project back in December 2011. This led to the mini and micro CHP network, in which there are currently 40 municipal utilities. Their goal is to establish highly efficient mini and micro CHPs on the market under the name EnergieBlock(R).
"With this project, the municipal utilities are once again proving their innovative strength in deciding the path that the energy reform will take," commented Sven Becker, CEO of Trianel. "With their proximity to customers and excellent knowledge of the market, generating electricity where it will be used is a promising field of activity for regional energy suppliers."
"This project shows us the energy generation of the future: decentralised, environmentally friendly and highly efficient. BlueGen will allow CO2 emissions to be reduced by 50 percent. Crest Nicholson installs BlueGen to create the UK's first low carbon home using fuel cell power and heating

Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited (AIM / ASX: CFU), a leading provider of high efficiency and low emission electricity generation products for homes and other buildings, is pleased to announce that Crest Nicholson, one of the UK's leading house builders, has installed a BlueGen gas-to-electricity generator in one of its low carbon homes.


The BlueGen unit is installed in a four bedroom family home in Crest Nicholson's Noble Park development on the outskirts of Epsom, Surrey. This is the UK's first ever installation of a microgeneration certificate scheme (MCS) accredited micro power and heat fuel cell in a new build home, providing power, heating and hot water.
The Crest Nicholson low carbon home demonstrates how new houses can meet the energy efficiency levels of the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4, cutting carbon emissions by 44 percent from 2006 Part L Building Regulations levels. In 2016 this requirement for all homes sent to planning increases to "zero carbon", meaning the building fabric of the home and onsite power and heat generation must cut emissions by at least 70 percent from 2006 levels, equivalent to zero net carbon emissions from regulated energy, which is that used for heating, hot water, lighting and building (services) consumption, over the course of a year.
In addition to the energy reduction requirements, the Crest Nicholson home with the BlueGen unit meets all the elements of the 2010 Code for Sustainable Homes level 4, which include design for low water consumption, enhanced ecological protection, Lifetime Homes and Secure by Design criteria.
As part of the AIMC4 Consortium research project, Crest Nicholson has designed the home for high insulation and energy efficiency and low heat losses. The BlueGen is providing all the heat needed for the home - there is no separate boiler or other heating device needed.
The BlueGen product is the only fuel cell product eligible for the UK Feed-In Tariff (FIT), which provides a payment to BlueGen customers for power generated on-site and exported back to the power grid.
BlueGen units use ceramic fuel cells to turn natural gas into electricity - as well as heat for hot water - for homes, schools, offices and small commercial buildings. Each BlueGen unit can save up to four tonnes of carbon per year in low carbon homes. The peak electrical efficiency of BlueGen is up to 60 percent, far higher than any other small scale generating technology in the world. With the added benefit of heat, total efficiency is up to 85 percent and may be even higher in such low energy homes.
The Noble Park homes are being delivered by the "AIMC4" consortium, supported by funding from the government-backed Technology Strategy Board. The AIMC4 consortium is a partnership of UK companies created to pioneer the volume production of low carbon homes, and includes developers Stewart Milne Group, Crest Nicholson PLC,Barratt Developments PLC, H+H UK Ltd and the Building Research Establishment.
Crest Nicholson is one of the UK's leading developers of new homes, building approximately 1,500 new homes each year.

BlueGen units to be used in Virtual Power Plant Project in The Netherlands
Ceramic Fuel Cells Limited (AIM / ASX: CFU) - a leading developer of high efficiency and low emission electricity generation products for homes and other buildings - is pleased to announce a project in The Netherlands to create a Virtual Power Plant using Ceramic Fuel Cells' BlueGen gas-to-electricity generators.
BlueGen units are planned to be installed with customers across the Netherlands to create a new community of distributed energy producers, connected through the internet and operated as a Virtual Power Plant.
Ceramic Fuel Cells is supporting its distribution partner BlueGeneration that is working on the project with Liander and IBM. This team will start designing a platform on which the Virtual Power Plant can run. During the design phase BlueGeneration, Liander and IBM will design the technical requirements and define the use cases for the platform.
Liander is a Dutch regional network operator, distributing electricity to 3.0 million customers and gas to 2.3 million customers in a large part of the Netherlands. IBM will provide the necessary system integration to control the BlueGen units remotely. IBM's extensive experience in the field of Smart Grids enables the collaboration to implement and scale up the platform.
The project partners have entered the first phase of the project, with three BlueGen units installed with energy consultants' KIWA Gastec for testing at their facilities in Apeldoorn. The aim is to test the compatibility with the designed systems and to have a closed and regulated environment for the first tests. During this test phase of approximately one year the influence of extreme modulation cycles will also be examined as well as the impact for the grid operator.
The tests at Kiwa began in April 2012. The partners are currently developing the Virtual Power Plant design, and intend to scale up the project in the second half of this calendar year and into 2013.
A Virtual Power Plant is a cluster of distributed electricity generation units, controlled and operated by a central entity using integrated software systems. A Virtual Power Plant allows power generation to be modulated up or down to meet peak loads and balance intermittent power from wind or solar, with higher efficiency and more flexibility than large centralised power stations.
By incorporating the Virtual Power Plant in Lianders' Smart Grid, Liander will be able to locally balance the demand and supply of electricity. The end customers will benefit from lower energy costs.

The BlueGen product uses ceramic fuel cells to turn natural gas into electricity and heat for hot water, with each unit capable of producing more than three times the electricity needed to power the average Dutch home. (In The Netherlands an average home consumes an estimated 3,500 kilowatt hours of electricity per year.)
Surplus electricity can be sold back to the grid or used in supplementary applications such as charging electric cars, as well as having the additional benefit of providing heat for domestic hot water use. BlueGen units generate electricity with the highest electrical efficiency of any small scale generating technology in the world, reducing energy bills and cutting carbon emissions.
In the Netherlands customers are allowed to export electricity to the grid when they have a surplus and take it back from the grid later when they need it without being charged with energy tax on this energy. This tax-free interchange has a maximum of 5000 kWh per year.
According to a report from US analyst firm Pike Research, virtual power plant capacity will increase by 65 percent between 2011 and 2017, rising from 55.6 gigawatts (GW) to 91.7 GW worldwide during that period. In a more aggressive forecast scenario, the capacity growth is up to 126 percent during the same period.
Releasing the report in November 2011, Pike Research senior analyst Peter Asmus said: "Virtual power plants essentially represent an 'Internet of Energy', tapping existing grid networks to tailor electricity supply and demand services for a customer. They maximize value for both the end user and distribution utility, primarily through software innovations."(1)
